BEWARE of SCAMS!

Greetings to LuxPup families, fans and visitors!

Here are few tips on how to avoid getting yourself scammed.

If the seller/breeder has many puppies for sale at the same time, you have to start wondering that the puppies are probably bred for quantity, not quality. It is not easy to breed good quality puppies and no reputable breeders have multiple litters available at the same time.

Always ask for movie clips of the puppy you are interested in. We've heard of so many scammers selling our own pictures. Also if the seller has nothing to hide, they will be more than glad to provide you with short movie clips of puppies. There are many scammers who sells you beautiful pictures of puppies and the one actually you get does not look anything like their photos.

If the seller ask you to pay deposits first before showing you a puppy, please reconsider again! Why would you pay for something you haven't even seen? The seller might be only interested in your mony, not finding you a perfect companion.

Please NEVER get fooled by scammers and protect yourself !

It is very normal to be picky when adopting a new family member.

A lot of people ask how our puppies are so cute and small.

When we take our dogs outside, some people ask us if they are real.

Some also wonder despite of the price, how they find home so quickly and people wait months and months to adopt a puppy from us.

Why are puppies from LuxPup so special and why all our customers are happy about our puppies and service?

Here are answers!

We always thrive to provide best quality puppies possible.

Sometimes that can mean a longer wait time before the perfect puppy becomes available.

Our puppies are worth the wait as many of our clients can attest to, they exceed expectation. We are so confident about our puppies' quality that we do not take any deposit to secure a buyer for our puppies and we encourage you to browse around and compare our puppies with others. We are very proud of the quality of our puppies and we know that they second to none.

Here at Lux Pup we believe in taking the time to make sure our clients are making informed decisions. We take the time to photograph and do short video clips of our puppies so that our clients can see the puppies individual characteristics and personality. We are able to provide birth information, the estimated adult size of each puppy as well as new puppy care information. We never make people decide on their new addition to their family with just a couple of pictures.

We believe all the puppies we sell reflect the quality and standards of Lux Pup and therefore are chosen very carefully. All our previous buyers are happy with their puppies and most of them have come back to us to adopt another member of their family and a new playmate for their original puppy.

We've finally decided on puppies to bring.

We will have ;

2 female white pomeranians, 2 female malteses and a female and a male yorkshire terriers.

Puppies will be here after 4 weeks (End of November).

If you are waiting for our puppies, please give us a friendly email about the breed and gender of the puppy you are waiting for so we do not leave anyone out. :)

Please keep in mind that we do not accept any deposits until puppies are shown in real. (or movie clips)

Also shipping is not available during winter due to cold weather.

If the buyer can not come to pick up the puppy, hand delivery will available at buyer's expense.

We are sorry to announce that we do not have any available puppies at the moment.

Due to cold weather, we decided not to fly puppies alone.

We will be bringing puppies in cabin with people during winter times.

Also shipping will not be available from November 15th to March.

If the puppy has to be shipped, one of our staff will fly with the puppy to keep them warm and safe.

We will have less available puppies but we believe it has to be done to keep them healthy and safe.

A toy dog covered from head to toe with a mantle of long, silky white hair, the Maltese is gentle-mannered and affectionate, known for being lively, playful and fearless despite its small size. Maltese are intelligent little dogs that are very fast learners if they feel sufficiently rewarded. Today, their refinement, cleanliness and portability make them a popular choice as a companion dog.

The Maltese was once known as "Ye ancient dogge of Malta," for that is where they were first recognized and how they received their name. The breed has been an aristocrat of the canine world for over 28 centuries, owned by royalty all over the globe. Even as far back as the 1500?s they were claimed to be sold for $2,000. And while other companion dogs such as the Pomeranian have been bred down from larger sizes, the first Maltese were the same size as the dogs we see today.

Is Maltese right one for you?

Even though the Maltese is a very small dog, they tend to be brave and without fear. They are one of the most gentle mannered of all little dogs, but are also full of energy and very playful, making them great family dogs. Maltese should be brushed daily, and groomed often to prevent mats from forming in their long, white coat.

AKC Breed Standard

General Appearance

The Maltese is a toy dog covered from head to foot with a mantle of long, silky, white hair. He is gentle-mannered and affectionate, eager and sprightly in action, and, despite his size, possessed of the vigor needed for the satisfactory companion.

Head

Of medium length and in proportion to the size of the dog. The skull is slightly rounded on top, the stop moderate. The drop ears are rather low set and heavily feathered with long hair that hangs close to the head. Eyes are set not too far apart; they are very dark and round, their black rims enhancing the gentle yet alert expression. The muzzle is of medium length, fine and tapered but not snipy.The nose is black. The teeth meet in an even, edge-to-edge bite, or in a scissors bite.

Neck

Sufficient length of neck is desirable as promoting a high carriage of the head.

Body

Compact, the height from the withers to the ground equaling the length from the withers to the root of the tail. Shoulder blades are sloping, the elbows well knit and held close to the body. The back is level in topline, the ribs well sprung. The chest is fairly deep, the loins taut, strong, and just slightly tucked up underneath.

Tail

A long-haired plume carried gracefully over the back, its tip lying to the side over the quarter.

Legs and Feet

Legs are fine-boned and nicely feathered. Forelegs are straight, their pastern joints well knit and devoid of appreciable bend. Hind legs are strong and moderately angulated at stifles and hocks. The feet are small and round, with toe pads black. Scraggly hairs on the feet may be trimmed to give a neater appearance.

Coat and Color

The coat is single, that is, without undercoat. It hangs long, flat, and silky over the sides of the body almost, if not quite, to the ground. The long head-hair may be tied up in a topknot or it may be left hanging. Any suggestion of kinkiness, curliness, or woolly texture is objectionable.

Color, pure white. Light tan or lemon on the ears is permissible, but not desirable.

Size

Weight under 7 pounds, with from 4 to 6 pounds preferred. Overall quality is to be favored over size.

Gait

The Maltese moves with a jaunty, smooth, flowing gait. Viewed from the side, he gives an impression of rapid movement, size considered. In the stride, the forelegs reach straight and free from the shoulders, with elbows close. Hind legs to move in a straight line. Cowhocks or any suggestion of hind leg toeing in or out are faults.

Temperament

For all his diminutive size, the Maltese seems to be without fear. His trust and affectionate responsiveness are very appealing. He is among the gentlest mannered of all little dogs, yet he is lively and playful as well as vigorous.
